UPDATE (September 2026): After having an issue with one of our toilets, the first business we thought of was SGT Plumbing after our neighbour’s exceptional experience nearly 6 months ago. Our experience was no different. Within an hour of contact, Kate provided a quote and offered to send a plumber on the same day. Max resolved our main problem, then rectified a minor issue with our kitchen sink and undertook a home plumbing health check as part of the service. Max was helpful, friendly and engaging at every step. We won’t hesitate to use SGT Plumbing again.INITIAL REVIEW (March 2026): A huge thank you & well done to SGT Plumbing. On the Friday before the Labour Day long weekend a concerned, retired neighbour asked for help to organise a plumber to rectify an issue with his hot water service, after things had not gone to plan with a different plumber the previous day. After seeing the favourable reviews for SGT Plumbing, we gave them a call at 1pm.Kate clearly explained what we needed to do to obtain a quote (including providing photos). Little more than 30 minutes later, Chris called and clearly explained the proposed solution and (very reasonable) price. The process to formally accept the written quote was straightforward. Luke performed the work at 6.30-7.00pm so that my neighbour didn’t have to wait until the following Tuesday for his hot water service to work properly. Outstanding! As with Kate and Chris, Luke was friendly and helpful and his explanations were very clear. The end result of this terrific team effort was that I had a very happy (and relieved) neighbour. SGT Plumbing will be the first business I call when I need plumbing work done.

Their communication was excellent, they were on time and fixed the problem and gave us useful advice in what had caused the issue. Definitely would recommend them 💕

The guys from SGT were great. After 2 other local plumbers didn't reply at all SGT were straight onto things. Job scheduled, arrived on time. Gas regulator replacement done in less than an hour on the day. Awesome, professional service.

A massive thanks to Luke and Max who spent 2 days connecting our water and installing a water heater on to mains in our shed! They went above and beyond, especially with our portable ensuite bathroom having lose fittings that they replaced or resealed. It is no understatement to say that SGT saved me! An unexplained leak discovered hours before a long weekend, boys were out in no time at all, squeezing me in before I went away. They found and resolved the issue - and even came back to double check!I honestly felt such gratitude knowing I could have quite likely come home to a flooded house if I had have waited.Sarge and his team were so swift, so nice and so great. Had a problem with a gas leak and my gas supply had been turned off. Max arrived promptly at 7 am and located the problem pretty quickly. He suggested a couple of solutions which I appreciated and I took his advice on board. Max was friendly and polite and explained things very clearly. Recently used SGT Plumbing for the first time and was totally impressed by the experience. Their online booking system was easy to use. Max arrived same day to assess and quote. Quote was sent and accepted electronically which made it all so easy. Max returned next day and did an excellent job.

Contacted SGT in the morning and spoke to Kate who talked me through the issues and she was so easy to deal with. Had Max out by 2pm that day. He went straight to the issues mentioned and had it all fixed within the hour. We have lived without hot water in our kitchen for 6 years and issues throughout the house and couldn’t be happier to say we now have super hot water in every room and no more issues!

I had sgt out to my home when our pipe burst under the sink. They fixed the problem straight away at a good price and checked the rest of the braided hoses in the home and gave us a plan to update the rest as needed over time! Love these guys

I recently had a fantastic experience with SGT Plumbing when they helped me with a blocked toilet. The plumber who visited (Shammy) was polite, respectful, and friendly. He thoroughly explained what was going to happen and provided a detailed quote when we discovered the issue was an extremely blocked drain. During his visit, he identified that we needed to address some non-compliant pipework which would continue to cause issues if we didn't fix it. Our hot water service unexpectedly burst a few weeks ago and we were without hot water, right in the middle of a Melbourne cold snap. We rang SGT and within 2 hours someone was on site to inspect the damage and quote on a replacement. They took care of everything from removal to install to all the paperwork for the Govt Heat Pump rebates. We are so grateful for their work and the way they made the process so easy. Highly recommend!

Max had an unexpected gap in his schedule so he came and fixed the clogged drains in our house and replaced a shower head. We had only put the request in the day before so it was super quick. The bathrooms did not look like they had a tradesperson completing any work in them, all very clean and professional. Thanks Max.

Kate, Chris & Max went well beyond the call of duty for my parents today!! Not only did they fix a flooding issue, replace their hot water system & cap their gas as they looked to electrify, when my mother couldn't fill out a link online to claim the government rebate, Kate drove from their office to assist to ensure she was able to claim it. Such an impressive team. I don't think my mother has ever called to rave about how incredible her tradespeople are. They will be referring anyone they know your way. I recently engaged SGT plumbing for blocked storm water pipes - heavy downpours were causing our downpipes to have water flowing back up and out of every join, with so many litres going right under the house. I called at 9am and explained the urgency of my concern to Kate (given we were expecting more heavy downpours the following day) and by 2pm Mitch was at our place, locating the problem (plenty of tree roots had invaded the system) and fixing it within 1.5hours. No more problems with our pipes in the downpours that followed, and a dry subfloor area as a result! Incredibly grateful for the quick response of the team, Mitch was excellent too. Would not hesitate to recommend SGT and they'll absolutely be the first ones we call with any plumbing issues in the future. Thank you so much!

We had Max (Super Max) come over and tend to a leaking tin roof, hammer pipe and a few other issues and he was beyond great. His professional manner, his knowledge and keeping us informed with everything he was doing was 10/10. All our issues have been resolved and also Kate who was booking our appointments and the initial phone call was incredible. Very impressed. 10/10 for Super Max and for SGT Plumbing.

We recently have put in a new kitchen. Luke came and did all the plumbing for it. Nothing was an issue for him, he even fixed our laundry tap for us without me giving him any notice.
